Cookie policy
A cookie is a small file downloaded to your device when you visit a website. Here we set out which ones we use, who places them and how long they last.
Technical cookies (necessary)
- Consent preference: stores your cookie choice for 180 days, shared with the other Crooke Dental Clinic websites so that you are not asked again at every clinic.
- Session: created only when you submit the contact form, to protect the submission against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). Expires when you close the browser.
These cookies do not require consent because they are essential to provide the service you requested.
Measurement cookies (optional)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which content is useful and how to improve the site. IP addresses are anonymised. The cookies are _ga and _ga_<ID>, lasting up to two years, and are set by Google LLC.
Advertising cookies (optional)
They measure whether an advert led to an appointment and stop you being shown the same advert over and over. All three are third-party:
- Google Ads (Google LLC): measures conversions from our campaigns and links the advert click to the visit. Cookie _gcl_au, 90 days.
- Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.): measures Facebook and Instagram campaigns. Cookies _fbp and, if you arrive from an advert, _fbc. 90 days.
- TikTok pixel (TikTok Technology Ltd.): measures TikTok campaigns. Cookies _ttp and _tt_enable_cookie, up to 13 months.
These three transfer data outside the European Economic Area, relying on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and, for Google and Meta, on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
When they load
The technical ones always. Measurement and advertising cookies load unless you tell us otherwise, and stop loading the moment you decline them, both here and across the other Crooke Dental Clinic websites. If you decline, Google still receives an anonymous signal that a visit took place, with no cookies and no way to identify you.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Declining does not limit any functionality of the site. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings.
